Water Falling
For this I used a slow shutter speed and the sunset setting on a point and shoot camera. I blurred the water falling from the waterfall against gray rocks. I was close to the small stream of water and shot it from straight on. I used flash to get the distinct difference between the clear water and the dark ay of the rocks.
Falling Leaves
I used a fast shutter speed to freeze the action of the leaves falling from her upraised hands. I used the action setting on the point and shoot camera that i used to capture my images. I froze the action of the leaves falling after Kelsey threw them into the air. I was far away from my subject and shot from the ground to get the angle looking up towards the subject. I used depth by shooting from a lower position. I used the rule of thirds by putting the large clump of leaves in the center section.
